DHL Express used without advising the buyer, at a huge cost to buyer

a Japanese seller charged me $25 to ship a silk scarf and it was Standard international Shipping.  eBay message told me the item would arrive to me in Canada in 7 to 43 business days.  That is what I expected.  Seller sent it by DHL Express instead and item arrived in less than 2 days, at a cost of an extra $90.  I was quite upset with the seller, as even with normal duty fees, it would not have been that much money if they had stuck to their Standard International Shipping, as stated in their listing.  It would’ve been maybe $30

If I receive the item in 2 days flat, from Japan to Canada, instead of the 7 to 43 business days as eBay stated to me after payment completion, does that not prove that the seller did something else after the fact, an action that cost me so much more cash? Seller refuses to accept responsibility.  Can anyone tell me if what the seller did is right? Thanks
