Account compromised, unauthorized transaction case denied.

It's the start of the month and I was checking my statement for the previous month when I realized there was an unauthorized transaction that was completed on the 30th of last month with a total of over $2000.

The money was sent through F&F to a Paypal account of a different country, with half of the funds taken from my Paypal balance and about another half being taken from my bank debit. I have filed a unauthorized claim through Paypal and they closed the case within two hours saying that they can't do anything.

I tried calling both my credit card and Paypal today, both having no live customer service due to the pandemic.

What should I do? I'm honestly freaking out because I am a full time student and don't have an extra $2000 be thrown in limbo.

Hi @jumiorkom

I hope all is well. First, I must say, thank you for taking time to use the community forum to be heard as our phone lines are currently closed due to the
pandemic coronavirus (covid-19) emergency. I'm sorry to hear if PayPal denied your claim for that unauthorized transaction and I don't blame you if you are worried right now for it is indeed hard to be a full time student specially in this global situation we're having right now. I don't have a specific info why your claim was being denied, but having said that it is unauthorized transaction then you may wanna try to follow this steps or go to this link to help you have a fair chance to get your money back, I guess it's worth trying than just waiting for something to happen right?

Go to the Resolution Center.
Click Report a Problem.
Click the transaction you want to report and click Continue.
Select "I want to report a transaction that I didn't authorize."
Follow the steps to report the transaction.
I provided a link below to help you through the process:

Hope this will help you, stay safe now and God Bless!
