Invoice creation problems with "Sorry..." message

Hi PP users,
I've tried following instructions to create an Invoice and used the Help menu's link and keep getting "Sorry, something's not right..." ? message over and over. Any ideas about about a fix?
Issue 2: Can a person you're invoicing pay by credit card as I was told via Paypal's tech over the phone? (told me I couldn't use an outsider's credit card info to pay my account and said to create an Invoice -- back to original problem!
Appreciate any help here. Best with all.
