"Incorrect Bank Account Details" & "Electronic funds transfer declined"

Registered for and started using PayPal late last week. eCheck was apparently working albeit as slowly as molasses trying to make a deposit

 

"Dear [name],

On Dec 16, 2011, we attempted to transfer $6.01 USD from your bank account, ending in [####]. This transfer was returned by your bank on Dec 20, 2011 for the reason below:

This is an invalid bank account number.


As a result, this bank account has been disabled from your PayPal account. Please contact your bank for more information or add a new bank account. Please do not contact PayPal because this is entirely an issue between the account holder and their bank.

PayPal"

 

"Your PayPal payment cannot be completed by Bank Funding because your bank informed us that the bank account information registered with PayPal are incorrect. As a result, this Bank Funding payment has been reversed."

 

"Hello [name],

You recently tried to transfer funds from your EECU bank account.

EECU declined your funds transfer.

Because EECU declined your transfer, this transaction has been canceled.

So somehow my bank account information registered with PayPal was correct enough to verify it, but after I have obligations to actually pay people, I get 10 emails telling me this.

 

Thanks, PayPal, I especially appreciate that you waited until my birthday to spring this garbage on me.

 

I'm not going to start hemorrhaging money by the minute to fiddle around on a paypal customer service line, so I'll seek assistance here for something that shouldn't even be a problem.

 

Notes:

  • I'm not overdrafting, there's more than enough in the account.
  • The verification process was fine. The bank account info wasn't wrong when they made me do that, it shouldn't suddenly be wrong now.
  • I do not have a debit or credit card, I used eCheck.
  • The PayPal account is connected to my Savings Account and I registered it as such.

I use my checking account and was supposedly refunded. The money was supposed to be credited to my paypal balance, my paypal balance is always 0.00, HELP, where are my refunds going?
