I can't close my Account because I have a pending transaction!

So about a month ago, I added a GiftCard (name of the company) to my account and it let me add it. Well I just looked up today after trying to remove it that PayPal isn't suppose to let you add it. I still have a lot to learn about finance so I didn't know about it. Anyways, I'm trying to close my account now but its not letting me because there are pending transactions! I sat here for about an hour looking at my transactions on PayPal and my Bank Account, ALL are accounted for. So going back through my cards, I saw my GiftCard and tried to remove it then found the source of why I can't close my account.

So I don't know how to remove it, find the pending transaction made to it, or even dispute it since I don't know what to really do. If anyone could just tell me something helpful to resolve it, that would be great.

i have a similar situation. im new to paypal aswell and i bought something using paypal. i thought i had to transfer the money from my bank to paypal so i done that then a couple of days later i see that the 500GBP has been took out my bank account while theres 500GBP " processing" in my paypal account which has also been took out of my bank account. thats the last of my money and i have a 7month baby so you can imagine how impatient im getting! i tried to close my account so i would get the money back faster but its saying i have to wait till the transaction is complete then withdraw it wich can take 2-3 days or if i pay 5er it will take 1-2 days but i dont have that time to wait. i know im not giving you an answer for the situation ur in im just letting you know my situation so u know that its not just ur account paypals messing with! i will be in touch if i find out how to shut account down with a pending payment in it and u do same for me if u can! thanx and good luck. paypals made out alot better than what it actually is i think!                         Lisa From Glasgow Xx
