do I need to call the police? I sold and shipped my item but I have no money

I sold an item to a buyer on craigslist, I have stayed in contact with them for this whole ordeal. I sold an ipad for $625, they sent me the money, but it never went through and then it asked the buyer to send me another $400 dollars because my account was "limited" 

I sent another email of the tracking number to the service email, but haven't received anything.

The buyer said they sent me $400 but I never got an email saying I was sent another $400, the buyer claims they have sent me the money and an email notification was sent to me as well. 

I have my receipts, and I never received money for something I shipped two weeks ago.

Do I need to go to the police?? can someone please help?

Why would you send an item if the money was not showing in your paypal account?

 Was your buyer international and if so where? Was it Nigeria??

Have you checked the email address the buyer paid to?

Yes the buy was international, and yes it was Nigeria. Was I scammed? they emails came from: service(@)paypal.com

it said it was trying to process the original amount, so it must've been sent? then it asked for the buyer to send me an additional $400 for some reason.

Yes you have been scammed people in Nigeria cannot own a paypal account

They were fake emails from your scammer

No money is going to go into your account

Ppal do not ask for tracking info these were fake emails from your scammer not paypal

I know its too late now but never ship an item unil you see cleared payment in your account

You could go to the police for advice
