I received an email from Paypal ON THE 16/03/11 informing me of a transaction taking place (which I was unaware of) I went straight to the website and sure enough £88.92 being sent to a company in Belgium. I immediately raised a dispute which Paypal responded to and found in my favour and also stated seller refused payment? strange! funds returned to my account, hold on a minute! the funds had not left my bank account YET! I checked with my bank nothing pending. All seems well. I decide to check my bank account 19/03/11 and you guessed it the money was being debited from my account TAKING ME OVERDRAWN!!! My bank is stopping the transaction but that will not be credited back until Tuesday 22/03/11. I am extremely annoyed that Paypal has 1. Allowed my account to be hacked (which I had not used for a while and I am fully aware of any phishing emails and only access Paypal via the website, before they suggest its my fault) and 2. They allowed the transaction to complete after they stated they had stopped the fraud. AND yes my PC is clean and I never click on attachments or visit dodgy sites ETC ETC.
