Payment 'completed' but not showing on account

I paid an invoice sent to me in February without any problems, the money was sent through my Paypal account (though a bank transfer) and received at the other end on the same day - no problems whatsoever.  The payment was deducted off my bank account the exact same day too.

 

I've since paid another invoice to the exact same person on 7 April and yet the money has still not come off my bank account and yet when I check Paypal the status of the invoice is 'paid' and the status of the payment is 'completed'.  I also received an email to this affect too at the time of payment.

 

I've contacted the person receiving the money this evening to check if they have in fact received it, but am waiting for a reply (I will update this thread once I have heard back from them), however I'm assuming they haven't received it seeing as the money hasn't actually come off my bank account yet.

 

At first I thought there might have been a delay because of the Easter bank holidays, but as it's now 5 days later and still nothing, I'm beginning to wonder if there's a problem somewhere along the line.

 

Has anyone else been having problems or can anyone help me out here?

When you pay a seller the payment is never instant from you, in fact paypal pay the seller and then they set about recovering those funds from your funding source to as it were pay themselves back again.

 

This happens as long as you have a back up card as well as your bank account on file with paypal.

 

So though your seller has been paid by paypal because of the bank holidays paypal are probably a bit later in uploading the funds from your bank account to as it were "pay themselves back again".
