How do I receive payment

I sold an item on Folksy in August it appears on my account as completed so why isn't there any funds in my paypal account, keep receiving messages saying account needs verifying which I have done.  I have tried to contact paypal but just keep getting general email links.  My account is only linked to a credit card which I have been using for online purchases for years and never had a problem, it's the selling that's causing issues, please help.

You can't withdraw funds to a card in the UK, only to a bank account linked and verified to your paypal account that sets up the direct debit mandate.

You need to do that and also do you have a personal or premier account as you need the latter to sell.

I have a premier account and have set up bank details to allow money to be transferred but my payment from August 2013 is still not showing as a credit, do I have to wait for the bank to verify direct debit instruction, also why do I need direct debit instruction when I am only paying money into the account?
