Fake payments to Facebook Ireland Ltd

Hi,

My account has been debited $5,$20,$50,($75 total) by this company called Facebook Ireland Ltd. I did not authorise these payments and i have initiated an unauthorised payment refund claim.

Apparently I am not the first victim ("https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/Subscriptions/Facebook-Ireland-Ltd-Fake-paymente/td-p/486884?pro...") I do not understand how Paypal still allows the company to recieve payments through it.

Kindly look into the matter.

Gosh. I thought i'm the only one. Why can't paypal block all the payment to this "verified" source?! For the past 5 days, around USD1000 was transferred to this facebook ireland? Despite my attempt to change password and security answer, it's still allowing another two transaction. I've lodged from the resolution centre and i really hope Paypal investigate this throughoutly...apparently it has been happening since last year to others..

I have the same problem, I never authorized the payment and i just have recieve the notice another payment U$5. 

Just today, canceling another subscription, I realized that since October 2012 were charging me U.S. $ 5 without ever having authorized that payment. Not even know what Facebook is Ireland! I want my money back!

Just got today the famous e-mail from paypal that they had payed $ 240,00 to facebook ireland ltd.

It happens all today when i was at work. Paypal what are you doing. this is going on for more than 2 years. Take care of it. I never play a game or what so ever on facebook. Use it only to chat with my son who lives in a city 160km away.

Removed my creditcard from the paypal account and reported the fraud.

I was a victim of this scam today - the equivalent of about USD 200  credited to Facebook Ireland Ltd. supposedly for purchase of advertising. Though, upon reporting the fraud,  PayPal agreed to reinstate the money immediately , they pointed  out that it was done as a courtesy to me as I had entered into a billing agreement. Of course,I had done nothing of the sort, even though a billing agreement was indicated against the transaction.  It is very worrying that PayPal has not yet blocked this scam after so many victims over the last several years. I will now have to seriously consider  whether to cancel my PayPal membership.

I too have been scammed by the Facebook Ireland for 320Israeli sheckels 6 times yesterday withn a few minutes,this came to about £370.
i reported it and had the same insulting message that as a courtyesy they would refund me as i has authorised the payments.Absolute nonsense.

So what is the association between ireland and Israel on this crime.

Hi all, i have read you have had the same paymemt issues for facebook ireland like me. Today i have been charged by paypal for buying an application but i am sure i have not bought it, i am not using facebook for playing any games or for something like that...just for chatting....and i am from slovakia so i do not see any reason why i should pay to fb ireland...!!!. Can i ask what happened after? Did you receive your money back???? Thank you, Magdalena

Same here, woke up by my phone saying that I got new mail and I see that there has been 300$ taken from my account. This needs to be adressed asap (especially since I am a poor student)..
