transfer from bank to paypal

Hi I have tried searching before putting this question in but could not find one within recent date and with exact same problem.

I have had a paypal account for several years but admit not used it very much. Every so often I'd transfer some money from my bank to paypal account - and it all worked fine - but last time I did it was about 18 months ago. 

Tried to do it and paypal keep refusing the money and sending it back. The bank account hasn't changed - still a joint account with my husband ( we don't have personal ones!) and getting message "name not matching" However unable to change the name of my paypal account to match - can't do so even tried setting up new account and won't allow as can only be one name and besides account name of bank is initials and surname and Paypal won't accept this.

So have you changed your name since you opened that Paypal account?

No nothing has changed.

ok then your best bet is to contact customer services and ask them what the issue is?

Click on the words "Help / Contact" at the bottom of paypals pages and use the phone option in the blue band at the top OR very bottom of page dependent on what country you are in. Log in and get the code.

When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent OR just say the word 'Agent'".

In the UK its free from any landline phone.
