Because paypal are introducing the 2 hour transfer to bank accounts in line with paypal.com.
Unfortunately the new system seems to have caused a lot of glitches and people are having security reviews and that seems to have caused worst problems.
Hopefully things will be sorted soon.

well they havent help me at all, this faster payment has screw me over royally.
basically i have started a small buissness with my two sons, so far we have sold a load of nintendo systems
the money cleared to my paypal fine but it woulnt let me withdraw it , it told me i was up for reveiw and woul be prosessed wiothing 72 hours... well that was a lie..... its over a week now and several attempts to withdraw the money .. still to no avail. now ive been told somthing different by every advisor i have spoken to . i am at my wits en im broke my buisness crashed and burned any rep i had is now tarnished i will never get thoose costumers back and they certainly wont be telling thier friends so in effect becuase of paypals new system someone like me is now starving in desperate need of that money i need to ispatch the items ive sold and cant becuase paypal is still not letting me withdraw
i asked to close my account ... but again will still have to wait three to seven days , this is unacceptable and has ruined me (as daft an melodramatic as it seems) i have no livelyhood anymore and i have let down my sons , now i shouldnt have to go through this not even once so why have i spent a week fighting for money ive earned from things i own and want to sell. this is an absolute joke and deeply upsetting..
i would like to start a class action along with any others that have been effected by this please contact me via my email and we could maybe get the ball rolling

Sorry but as soon as the payment hits your paypal account you should send the item to the buyers.
So you would then not have had unhappy buyers.
You are not supposed to wait until you have transfered that payment from your paypal account to your bank account before you send an item that is very unfair to your buyers.

Have you any idea what you're talking about love?.......we have a very small cash flow and to send these items will cost over £100 but as PAYPAL have hijacked my money (again) I can not post them. Maybe in your world they trust people before they pay but in mine its see the money first then we do business.....what would happen when (like it has done 3 times already) is returned to paypal for another reason and then is swallowed up but more of PAYPAL's crap......we've all had enough of the totally disrespect to US THE CUSTOMERS.....How I deal with my customers is my business.....paypal has to do business with me and not them.

They have paid you , as soon as the money is in your paypal account they have paid.
No seller on ebay would dream of making a buyer wait until the money transfered to their bank account before sending the item that is appalling customer service.
I have sold on ebay for 11 years and as soon as the buyer pays the item is in the post so yes LOVE i do know what i am talking about.
If you dont' have enough cash to post the items then don't list so many until you have sold enough to cover postage of future sales............thats not business its common sense.
The way you deal with your customers is not business, its very unprofessional.

Although I don't agree with Kernolass' wording I do agree that you shouldn't wait to post items because of withdrawal delays. This isn't your buyer's fault at all so they shouldn't be kept waiting.
You should be taking your frustrations out on Paypal, I know what you're feeling as I've had all sorts of issues caused by Paypal's antics by I wouldn't punish my buyers.
