Pending

I have sent money to my son using the friends and family option with PayPal before with no problems, I have recently sent some more money, this time using my mobile app version and the money has been held as pending, I have made two attempts to contact PayPal for an explanation with no reply even though it says your customer enquiry will be answered in 24 hours,

how long will these funds be held "Pending" and for what reason, can anybody help as it would appear PayPal have no Customer Care standards.

Did you make sure that you selected the family / friends option with your app??

Hi, as I ended up using PayPal from my mobile App for the first time I can't be certain, why would this make a difference anyway ? If I was using it as a merchant for example I would be more unhappy that a payment was being withheld / pending as it would effect my business.
