Payment Hold

My friend accidently sent me money as if he recieved a product from me but he actually was trying to just send me money that he owed me. The money that was sent to me is currently on hold. I verified my account so should I receive the money within 7 days?

If you have no item to send him hence no tracking number that proves delivery then you may have to wait 21 days.

Can he refund it and send it to me as family or friend?

You can't refund a 'held' payment BUT you could try phoning customer services and see if they will release the held payment back to the sender.
