Negative balance

Hey guys, I was recently very intoxicated and use paypal for online gambling, i didnt realise the money wasnt coming straight out of my account when I was depositing to skybet so I thought I still had money in my bank account and was withdrawing from this, where in fact Paypal was using a direct debit so the money wasnt coming out my account for a few day, my bank returned the direct debits and my account now has a negative balance of approx -£3000, I obviously dont have that kind of money to bring it back to 0, can paypal do anything to make me pay that back or will they just ban my account? And if they can make me back is there a payment plan type thing, They can't take it out my bank as there is no money in it and I am going to Phone the bank to cancel anymore direct debits, any help on where I stand with this would be greatly appreciated, regards Jordan.

Paypal can't 'dip' into your bank account without authorisation.

What they will do is keep emailing you to clear the balance and limit your account until you do.

How long they give you i don't know but after a while the 'debt' is normally sent to a debt recovery agency who can turn up at your home or work place to try and get the debt paid.

As for a payment plan you would need to contact customer services to see if they would accept that.
