Linked Credit Card Not Showing Up On Transfer Funds List

Hi I just linked a credit card to my paypal account as I was in negative funds.

It was a successful link and took the funds.

But I can not see the credit card in my transfer funds options.

My bank accounts are there but not the card.

Can you help.?

You can't add or withdraw funds to and from your paypal balance via a card.

You can only add or withdraw funds via a linked bank account.

Thank you But can you explain how I was able to pay money into my account via a card I was - £10.00 and it took the money from my linked credit card ?

If not then surely that proves my point in that you can't add from a card?

Or are we talking cross wires? Do you mean you added a card and it accepted it and sent you the code?

Hi there My PayPal balance was in negative funds I owed PayPal £10.00 I don't have a linked bank account so the only way to pay them was via a credit card . So I added a credit card and it stated that the credit card was now linked and that PayPal had taken the money I owed them from the card. If it can take the money I owed it just wondered why it cant take money for my account from the card. Frank

Still confused, has your negative balance cleared now and is back to zero or not?

Only first you say its cleared and then you say 'why can't it take the funds you owe?'

Yes it took the funds from my card But my question is Why from now on can I not just add funds to my account from my card If it has already taken funds from my card once. Makes no sense Frank

May be that was an exception as you owed paypal money.

But normally you can't 'add funds' to your paypal account via a card only via a linked bank account.

However you don't need funds in your 'paypal balance' as a buyer as when you complete checkout paypal will take it directly from your card if you select that option to pay.
