I am trying to add a card after the original one linked to the account expired, however the new card is in fact a replacement for an old card which ceased to function. As all security details remained intact the back issued the same card but with new validity from / expiry dates and a new csc number. The problem appears to be that the PAYPAL system refuses to let me add it despite numerous attempts in various chrome/safari/firefox options and I think that it needs some kind of manual override but of course this can't be achieved by me. Having rung the help centre they suggested calling my card issuer, which i have duly done and who confirmed my original thought was correct. As I don't have anyother card I appear to be stuck as neither Paypal or Ebay will accept this new card. Any suggestions?
