Old email address still showing in payments made

I have long since changed my primary and secondary email addresses. However, the old address from when I first joined PayPal still shows in the information received by a payee when a payment is made. This could lead to missed communications as the old address is redundant. I cannot find out how to update or remove the old reference.

Are you talking about Ebay transactions OR transactions made just using Paypal.?

Transactions made via PayPal, not eBay transactions.

Does it still show in your email address list in your paypal account or did you remove it altogether?

No, it does not show in my list of email addresses. I removed it sucessfully from that list. Thanks.

In case what I said above is unclear - I had already removed the old email address from the list before this problem was noticed.

Sorry guys but the problem is still there - when the payee gets a payment, it still shows my old email address that is no longer valid. Please help!

I've just realised this has happened to me too for an email I deleted around two years ago.  Someone just tried to pay me to it as it shows on their statements for my recent PayPal payments.  I've just emailed PayPal about this.  Did you ever find a fix?  I can't see the old email anywhere in my profile settings
