Credit card expiry date not reached, but payments blocked

My credit card will expire in 2 weeks. Paypal asked me to update my credit card info., and I cannot because my new card is not yet activated. When I want to buy something on Ebay, my paiement is not accepted. Very frustrating. Does anybody have a solution? Thank you

They tend not to accept it in the last few weeks before it expires due to processing times and possible refunds.

Can you add another card ie debit or c.c.??
