Questions on Linking a Debit/Credit Card

So, I have bit of conundrum...

For personal reasons, I do not have a debit/credit card in my possesion, and I want to verify my paypal. A friend is willing to temporarliy lend me his, but only for verifying my paypal.

1. Can I add, then remove a credit/debit card and my paypal will still be verifyed?

2. Will the owner of the card recieve any notifications/charges to their account/card provider?
