Hey guys,
I am having a little issue here. I have multiple currencies on my paypal account. It is giving me 3 balances (EUR-USD-GBP) now my main currency is GBP since I am living in the UK. It shows me all three balances and how much the accounts hold and then on top it tells me I have (probably the converted) amount in GBP available. I tried to buy something off ebay earlier yet it will not take any money off this figure and puts me straight to paying via debit card. I do have money on paypal and I cannot pay anything in GBP with it because there is only balances in the EUR and USD accounts - GBP is zero. GBP is my primary currency. Does that mean the USD and EUR are just there and I will not be able to use them to buy anything in GBP? I am a little frustrated and hoping to find some help here regarding this issue.
Thank you very much in advance.

where is your seller, what currency does he accept?
You are in UK and your local currency is in GBP,paypal is not a bank,so it must have accounts with British banks, and of course they deal in GBP.
Paypal cannot shove your Euro or US $ into this great bank to bank clearance system of your country,I would think bank clearance is conducted in GBP,not EURO or US $ or Rupees,or Rubles or Egytian pound.
Just like in USA,paypal's bank cannot take swiss franc or Canadian dollars into our bank clearance system.
Paypal is not a bank,in a way,it is no different than you and I having a bank account,
thats my two cents.
Paypal never explain how it moves money around,

That was the one! I didn't know I could convert the USD or EUR to GBP I thought that converter to the right was only a regular normal converter to "just" see how much it would be in other currencies. Thank you for your help! 🙂
