accepting payments from unverified users

In the past (maybe years ago) if someone sent you money via paypal and their paypal account was not verified paypal would ask you to either accept or deny the payment. There was a setting in your paypal account somewhere where you could turn this off or on. Does that still exist and if so where do I go to make that selection. I have looked myself and come uyp with nothing.

Don't think there is a setting for that. We used PayPal for quite a long time and don't recall a specific setting for that scenario.
In your Profile, under My Selling Tools, see Getting paid and managing my risk, look for Block payments - there click on "Update". On the next page you will see the available options.
