I've contacted PayPal about this but they told me to change the settings to English. First, I never changed it to French. Second, I know how to do this. But then it will switch back to French the next time I logon.
I am here because of the same issue. It's been driving me batty for a year or so. I am perfectly adept at clearing cookies and cache and whatnot but that's not the problem. On a very regular basis. Sometimes multiple times in the same day, when I hit paypal its in French and I have to scroll down to find the flag and then flip it to English. I saw postings from 2012 from PayPal employees saying they know about this. It's 2016. I am using Google Chrome on a PC
I had the same problem but in Chinese. I called PayPal and was told that when buying something from another country the transaction is changed to that countries language but doesn't get changed back. Why? Who knows, the PayPal guy didn't know either! He did, however, change it back to English. Call 1-866-914-8076 or 1-402-952-8558. Sorry, I have both numbers written down but don't remember which one got me the help I needed. Hopefully this will solve your problem. 🙂
YES!! This is happening to me, too!! Always in French!! I don't know why! I've never set it to French, I never travel to France! If anything, I would have expected Chinese, as I travel to Taiwan a lot. But, for the last many months... FRENCH!! I even tried clearing cookies, and that did NO good!! WTF?? This is **bleep** me off!!
