When you shop on line with Target.com with your Paypal account and make a return...Target will send you a 'gift' card via email to use in their stores. This happened to me this morning.  I have never heard of such a thing ... they do not credit 'Paypal'!!!!

I called and complained that I did not want a store credit as for one thing my city does not have a Target. They told me that this is their policy when a customer uses "Paypal" for a purchase as they do not have the means to refund through 'Paypal'.

Well I would not settle for this answer and said it seems Target is able to 'take' funds from 'Paypal' and I want my refund not a store credit. To make a long story short...they have issued me a 'credit' to "Paypal" (though they had said they had no way to do so previously) - said it would take about 7 days.

I think 'Paypal' should quit offering their services to 'Target' - this is the first company that ever did something like this (keeping your funds by issuing a store credit!!!) By the Way - Target said this refund is being made because it was my first time and made special transaction for me!!! Letting me know they would not be doing it again. Beware of (Target's) Paypal policy returns!!! I have been a Paypal customer for many many years and like the protection they offer for online shopping.
