Possible Scam: Unknown activity appears from your PayPal account

Just received an email from what looks like Paypal - very legit looking - until I took a look at the from email address. See screenshot for reference.

Seems like a completely random set of numbers so this tipped me off initially. Then I took a look at my PayPal account and there appears to be no recent activity under my account - let alone a purchase for an iPhone 6S. Also worth noting is the information provided in the email, specifically the date. As of writing this, the date in the email is in the future. 

Not included in the screenshot was the title: "#-72518-833145 Unknown activity appears from your PayPal account."

Felt like a scam, looks like a scam after looking into it, and I feel confident it is a scam. Wanted to keep you informed!

* Forward the entire email to:    spoof@paypal.com.
* Do not alter the subject line or forward the message as an attachment.
* Delete the suspicious email from your inbox.
* Never click on any links within the email or open any attachments.
