I’ve just been scamed with a fake PayPal email by Vera <removed>! Sent me a txt 20 mins after I had uploaded an ad for my camera, offering to pay an extra $100 just to take the ad down! Said it was for her daughters graduation, I even had to gift wrap it! The PayPal emails said that the transaction had been processed, but the funds would be available AFTER I sent the camera EXPRESS to CHINA. Didn’t realise till 2 days afterward when I got another PayPal email saying that ‘they had taken too much money out’ and I had to refund $350 through WESTERN UNION to an address in China, and They couldn’t ‘unlock’ my account until I sent the money. Can’t believe it, first steal my camera and then try to steal my money?! The emails were all sent' on behalf of <removed> by <removed>.Been reading now that PayPal will never hold funds until an item is shipped, and obviously never ‘take too much money’ out of an account. Beware of this fake Vera <removed> email <removed>. Very angry and frustrated. DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME! Hopefully the post office can get my camera before it’s delivered!

Paypal do hold funds for 'new sellers' and the funds are released more quickly if the seller can provide a tracking number that proves delivery + 3 days OR at 21 days if they can't but there are 2 differences.
Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.
Paypal do not tell you to send trackable, they advise it for selling protection but it is not compulsory.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
