I recently purchased a pair of Signia/Siemens Pure 13 BT Primax hearing aids. My audiologist called Siemens because they would not sync with the Siemens programming application. The serial # in the devices does not exist in the Siemens database--which means they are not a Signia/Siemens product. The seller approved my return and am expecting a refund shortly.
Knowing that there is a route to discovering counterfeit hearing aids before purchase, I've been asking other sellers what the serial number is on the devices they are selling--every seller has responded that, unfortunately, the item just sold and is unavailable. Every single seller.
Is it possible for eBay to make inclusion of serial numbers mandatory in a listing?
