I am at a total loss for what to do. I logged into my account after a very long period of not using it, to find out that someone had taken it over for their business account. My social security number remained as a tax ID, which I never entered, and they listed an address in California as their business address. The name of the business is Skyauara. I do not own such a business and I do not have an address in california. Another phone number is listed for a person near Nashville. The account is -$999.00 in debt and I haven't made any of these transactions. I am concerned as it seems my personal info has been breached and used. I attempted calling paypal customer service to speak with someone. Once my call was linked to my account, I was informed that it was in collections and that I could not speak with paypal. This is of great concern as I can't dispute online for some reason, nor can I change the information to secure my own, and now I can't even speak with someone at paypal in regards to a complete and total fraudulent usage of my account. Now my personal data continues to be used and paypal will do nothing. I attempted to submit a report online, however paypal states that they have found no fraudulent activity.
Any advice short of contacting a lawyer and suing? I can't even get the name of the "collection agency" that paypal has contacted.
