Ok, so I'm trying to sell an item through a local "yard sale" site and provided my phone number so people could ask questions about the item. I received a text from a 646 area code number asking if I could send it to their grandson overseas and offered me quite a few extra $$ to send it to him for them. They asked for my paypal email id to send me the money. Is it safe to give out your paypal email id?? Is this a scam??? What should I do??

No go, most likely a scam. You're first red flag, they "want" to send you extra money to ship overseas. Suggest not even using PayPal, do a cash deal face to face, everyone wins.

Yeah, that's true. But I asked him what address to send it to and it was Nigeria. So I did more research and found out that the Nigerian email scam ha gone to texting as well so that's what it was. It was a scam, no doubt. Thank you for your input, I appreciate it!
