Can funds be reversed by buyer AFTER they arrive in bank account?

I have been working with a buyer for a car of mine which was offered for sale on craigs list.  The buyer offered to send the funds via paypal if I would send them and invoice.  I sent the invoice to the paypal address they gave and the next day i recieved a payment in my paypal account for 1800.00.  I immediately began the process to transfer the funds to my bank account and the next day they funds posted to my bank.  It is possible that the buyer could reverse payment at this point?

They are scheduled to pick up the car in two days and I just wanted to make sure i was in the clear.

Thanks, AJ

This is possibly not a good thing as you will not be covered under PayPal's Protection for Sellers in the User Agreement.  The guidelines as straight forward and delivery or pick-ups are not covered.  If you're dealing with not so honest buyers, they can pick up the car and later file a dispute against you.  You could end up losing both car and funds.  A cash deal, face to face, is always the best option for deals of this nature.  Hopefully, you're dealing with good people and everything will be fine.

My question was the same as this so I thought I would reply. A person is depositing money in my account for something he bought from me at what point does the money become un reversable by him and safe to send the item.

Thanks

From the user agreement:

If you wish to open a Dispute through PayPal's Online Resolution Center, you must do so within 45 Days of making your payment or initiating your transaction in the case of Pay After Delivery; or if you use the PayPal Grace Period payment feature, you must open your Dispute within 60 Days of receiving your email transaction statement.

Having said that, normally you ship after the funds have been deposited into your PayPal accout.  Should you decide to wait out the dispute period before you ship, you will create a new set of issues.
