debit card not working at 3 different places...I have money available

 I tried using my PayPal business debit yesterday to buy gas, declined, thought maybe it was a problem with the pay at pump, so I went to another gas station, declined..Mind you its a debit card..Just now I went to pay for upgrading my grandmothers digital obituary and it says the card number is invalid and the year of the date is not valid...I have a balance AND a verifed checking account, AND a backup credit card...Just wondering if its because I had a large payment to a funeral home and I reached my spending limit or something...THanks.

that card has not been working in some places for more than a year now.I think it has to do with either the swipe machine or the gateway it is connected to.

and paypal cant seem to fix it.

I have used it at those 2 gas stations in the last few months..Might just be a glitch happening.
