Paypal is two different accounts. It has a credit card with Synchrony and I guess a bank account (?) connected with a merchant account to receive money.
Things are messed up in Quicken. I see one account that is set up under Banking that shows a negative balance. It not only subtracts money from the account when I make a transfer to my own bank, but it shows every deposit as reducing the balance as well. ???
It's confusing that my credit card says Paypal.com. But when I log on and want to see my credit card information, it takes me out of the site to the Syncrony site.
The Credit card account only shows my payments and does not show charges.
For those who've been around a while, there's been enough confusion with Paypal is ebay/paypal is not ebay. And now you log into paypal and can't see your paypal credit card account until you leave paypal.
For those of us who do not work for paypal, could someone explain all of this?
