Paypal Credit - made a payment but its sitting as pending

My next dues date for my PayPal Credit payments is 6th March (today).

I made the payment yesterday from my funding source, a debit card, thinking it would count as a same-day payment.

On looking at the account today it's still sitting as pending, even though there is enough funds in the account and it's a verified account.

When can I expect this to clear, and if I attempted to make the payment on the 5th will I be charged a late fee?
