how to use a coupon

I have a coupon and would like to post it to my account becasue i do not know when i will use it. is there a way of doing that? AND if i buy something worth 10 dollars on ebay and coupon is  worth 50 what happens to rest of the money? plese help thanks

You can only use a coupon at the time of purchase.  Unfortunately there's no features or options that would let you post it to your account ahead of time.

how would the remaining balance be handled on the coupon?

Normall coupons are a one time deal, any unused difference between the actual amount of the discount received and maximum amount will be forfeited.
