How to cancel pending echeck payment?

I was going to buy ingame credits for some game and paid through an echeck i didnt know it takes 5-8 days for the Echeck to clear therefore i would have to wait aswell and grew a little impaitient since i wanted it now.. How do i cancel this pending echeck payment there is no cancel option.. i contacted seller to cancel it for me if i couldnt figure it out here pls help and TY!

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I can understand your impatience with wanting to get the credit for the game, but I regret there's no way for PayPal to speed up the time it takes for an eCheck to clear, and it's not possible to cancel it.  😞

The best that could be done would be to request that the seller issue a refund, and then re-try the payment again. But, you'd want to make sure the payment was set as an Instant Transfer using a credit or debit card, or where PayPal sends the payment to the merchant for you, and then requests reimbursement from your bank.

Also, when a payment is funded by an eCheck, a refund can't be issued until the money reaches your PayPal account from the bank. The refund would be issued when the eCheck clears.

My best suggestion is to leave the transaction as is this time. In the mean time, it may help to add a credit/debit card to your PayPal account (or a different one), so the Instant Transfer option might be available.
