Funding source questions (Adding German Bank account to American PayPal Account)

Hello.

I am an American living in Germany. I created my account a while ago in the U.S. with my U.S. banks, but I cannot find an option to add my German (SEPA) bank. Is it supported to have two banks from two different countries?

Paypal is country specific so if you move country you have to open another paypal account in that country and add an address / phone number / and bank accounts from within that country.

The only exception is U.S ex-pats can add their bank accounts to other countries paypal accounts (paypal is a U.S company so they allow their citizens to do this).

What I understood from your message is that I can open a german paypal and add my US bank? Is that correct?

So I created a German PayPal account, added my German bank, but I do not see an option to add my US bank. Am I missing something here?

Thank you for your reply, according to the website i can send money from my German account to my US account. However when I go to “add Bank” the US bank isn’t listed. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

Thats odd as it should offer you that. You are trying to add a US bank account and not a card aren't you?

Also is that US bank account still linked to the U.S paypal account, if it is you may have to remove it first.

If you are not getting that option at all then get on to customer services and they can add it for you .

I am not trying to add a card, just the same bank that is listed in my other U.S. however the only option is to add EU cards and banks. No options for USA. I guess I will contact customer support and post back what the fix is.
