Double payment?

I tried to pay for an order for Dollar Tree thru Paypal but received message that it had not gone through and to try a different method of payment, which I did.  I used the same credit card that is linked to my bank (which is what is shown on my paypal account).  What I'm concerned with is, now I have 2 confirmations:  1 from Dollar Tree when I used the credit card and 1 from Paypal.  So, what gives? Obviously I don't want both payments going out!  Can anyone explain this to me?

It's probably not a double-payment.
It's just a authorization, more and likely.
Had that happen when I linked my account to Uber.
