Can I change source of funds, after purchas?

My friend meant to use a credit card for payment, and used bank account instead, and overdrew the bank account.  Can Paypal change payment to credit card?

Unfortunately it's not possible to change the funding source once the payment has been completed.

For example, if this was a purchase, your friend would have to contact the seller, ask them to cancel the transaction and refund the money.  Then your friend would have to select a different funding source and purchase the item again.
