Send vs request money

Hello. Um about to buy am item outside eBay, from a facebook group. I would like to know ir its more secure i send the money as goods or seller send me a request money. Thanks.

You have buyer protection with anyone of those, you do not have buyer protection only if you use the friends / family option.

However remember that your protection only extends as far as how the item is described, if you are buying a computer and either you or the seller write ''computer'' on the payment and the seller sends a toy computer you may not be covered as they sent a computer.

So you or the seller need to put as much information as possible on the payment about the item you are expecting to receive.
