I have a question. FedEx has a hold on some of my Paypal money to make sure the funds are there if they need to add any charges. It shows up as a pending transaction. Is the amount deducted from my available balance? If so, then I believe this amount will be added to my balance after the hold is complete. Just wondered if the amount was taken away from my available balance?
You can check the payment method that'll be selected by going to your Paypal accounts ACTIVITY and clicking on the transaction, it should give you details of the transaction together with the payment method selected to pay for that.

well, yes. your paypal balance will ALWAYS be used up first. If the amount is not sufficient to cover it, the remaining will be taken from your credit card on file (If you have both, it'll be taken out from your bank account instead).
