My wife has opened a ebay account, can she use my paypal account to send and receive payments or does she need to open her own. She has sold 4 items but payment shows as pending.

The email address you put on your auction identifies your paypal account for selling and where the buyers payment will go.

So she can use yours or one of her own but you should have sorted it before you listed the auctions.

If it is correct on your auction then have you linked your ebay and paypal accounts??
