I was disapointed to find this thread stating that the GetRecurringPaymentsProfileDetails API does not work with basic recurring subscription profiles.
This was written in 2012 so has there been any development in this area since then?
Is there anyway for me to programatically query the current state of a basic users subscription profile (I don't need to perform actions on it, just knowing the current state is enough)?
It seems such an obvious requirement. The recommendation given in the post of relying on IPNs and storing these myself seems a lot of work just to create a duplicate state machine that might be out of sync with the actual state on Paypal.
Thanks
