Hello. I have used AMEX prepaid gift cards to make purchases on eBay. The purchases go through, but on reading my ballance statements, an AVS charge of $1.00 has gone through. I know these are done to confirm the validity of the the card being used or something to that extent. However, will I get that dollar back or do I need to take some steps to so? I am a bit confused. Thanks!

Hi @Anchorage468,
Welcome to the Community Forums! 😄
Sorry to hear that the $1.00 authorization has caused some confusion. You are correct that the authorization is placed to verify that the card is working and active.
The $1.00 authorization will be reversed automatically to your card. Usually it only takes about 3-5 business days. 🙂
I hope this helps! 🙂
