you cannot send a payment to youself ??

dear community,

has anyone got an idea to get round this problem? i have a swiss and irish paypal acc as i live and work in both countries. i have euro funds deposited in my swiss acc. but paypal rules are i can only with draw funds to a swiss chf bank acc. 

so, i thought no problem, i will just transfer to my irish acc. no point converting to chf when i need euros to pay my bills

guess what, you can send a payment to friends and family, but not youself. does this mean i have no option but to transfer euros to chf only to convert chf back to euro to send to my bank in ire? surely not, that is just ridiculous?!!

any pointers woild be great!

note, going fwd, will not be using my swiss acc again!

I did not know you could not send a payment to another account you own as i am sure others have done so.

However IF you can't then the only thing i can think of is do you have a family member or mate in Ireland that you can send the euros to??

If so then send it to them and they can then send to your irish paypal account or give you cash when they see you or pay it into your bank account for you.

you are right, i can always trust a family member or friend to get round my problem. its just i cannot get my head around 

1 i am unable to withdraw euro funds to my euro acc in switzerland. they will only comvert to chf thereby also profiting on the exchange rate

2 i was given the option in switzerland to set up my account in euro and now cant transfer euro funds

3 i have two paypal accounts and cannot send momey between the two

would be great to hear if someone managed to get round this problem - avoiding recruiting their family for help!
