I've been having the same issue for the last month.  I always add half a pound and 1/4 inch to my actual dimensions.  My last shipment cost over $75 and now they are asking for another $6.  I verified the weight and dimensions at the Canada Post drop-off center.  Something is fishy with Canada Post.

I am having same problem. Finally got fed up paying these additional charges and called Canada Post.  On phone for almost three hours today.  I did everyting perfect calculating the volumetric weight.  Finally got one Canada post rep who got the same amount as I paid, but they still sent me an additional charge of $7.20.  Their credit department tells me it does not show that I owe it any more (I refused to pay it).  But....I am unable to print another shipping label for another package.  They have locked me out.  I am so fed up with Canada Post but there is no other alternative.
