I am selling a rather expensive item thru a place online, the buyer wants to send me a down payment via paypal to hold the item until he can come down and pick it up and pay the remainder. Is this something that is common? Does Paypal charge a fee for this? How do I get my money out of Paypal?

review paypal seller protection.
if local pickup,it should be cash, when he shows up with full amount, refund his paypal deposit so he cant file item, not received since local pickup has no tracking to proof delivery.
