I read this online and wanted to check if it was accurate or not:
- Here’s what you CAN do: You can have a recurring product as the very FIRST product that they purchase (when they first click on the “Buy” button on your main sales page), and then you can offer any number of “One-Time” Products as upsells or downsells.
- Here’s what you CANNOT do: Offer a “One-Time” product as your first product that they buy, and then try to upsell them to a “Recurring” Product.
Is that still accurate? As that article was from 2010.

Not sure what you're reading, but even in 2010 both of these things were possible.
Not sure if the article is implying this is a technical limitation or a policy limitation, but again, either way I think it's inaccurate. PayPal provides the products to setup one-time and/or recurring payments and reference transactions. How you build your business model based on that is up to you.
