Code/URL change needed on sales page if I add a redirect to new URL after PayPal payment?

I created a sales page that includes a button leading to PayPal payment a week ago. Today, I edited the button WITHIN PayPal so that the customer is redirected to an external URL after payment is complete. Question: Because I made this change within my PayPal options, Do I now have to go back to the original sales page and edit the payment button with "new" code provided by PayPal or will the original PP button code I linked to the sales page still work for what I intend? In other words, once I add a new link within the PayPal button options, does this change the code or PayPal URL we embed into sales pages? Thanks in advance!!!!!

Assuming your code is saved to the PayPal servers (My Saved Buttons), when you edit and save the code again, the changes are saved on the servers which is nice as you don't have to make any changes to the code on your web page.
