Since this morning i'm not able to use IPN. when i change the notification url i'm getting this error and my web site hasn't ssl certificate (yet) is there any way to use notification url without ssl certification ?

I knew PayPal has updated its IPN last year but i was able to use IPN until this morning.

I author a small ecommerce solution -- which I require the use of IPN URL's. Many of my customer's have been reporting this same error recently: http://cspf.co/fUA2/Image%202016-03-22%20at%201.51.24%20PM.png

Two problems though, 1) the article doesn't state that the IPN URL's themselves must be https, only that https must be used when verifying the IPN (POST'ing the IPN back to PayPal) and 2) Even if I'm mis-interpreting #1 -- it's not September yet.

If this gets enforced more widely, will this mean all my customers will need SSL/TLS certs on their websites?

Just omit the protocol and it will be allowed i.e.

Instead of http://mydomain.com/paypal-ipn just enter mydomain.com/paypal-ipn

When saved the settings will prefix the url with http://

If you write without "http://" it will saving like this -> http://mydomain.com
