Paypal/USPS won't accept a good zip code so I can't print label.

I've got a frequent problem lately, that I never had before, where I will try to print a label and Paypal will reject it saying the address is not in the preferred form, marking the zip as the faulty element, even though the zip is correct, and the exact same zip as shown in the "USPS preferred" address in the error window.

Once this happens there is nothing I can figure out to do that will fix it. Retyping the zip gets the same error code over and over. Sometimes if I back out and redo the label several times it will finally print. Usually I end up had addressing the package and taking it down to the post office, and paying there.

Any idea what causes this, and what the cure is?

BTW, that whole preferred address thing is pathetic. If Paypal of PB or USPS, whoever is in charge, insists on doing having the address just right, according to its own inconsistent rules, couldn't  they at least have a "USE POST OFFICE SUGGESTED ADDRESS" button so we don't have to parse both addresses looking for an improper abbreviation (why CT should be all right for Court, but St. wrong for SAINT is a mystery) or extra space or period.  Or a "Send Anyway"  overridebutton!
